I have a question about the use of two verbs - make and do.

As far as I know many learners confuse these verbs because in their native languages these two English verbs correspond to only one verb. Could someone give me some examples?

It is true. In Russian, for example, we have one verb that is used for general activities: "What are you doing now?"; and for something that we do with our hands (i.e., create something): "I make my own Christmas cards."

However, when we ask about jobs, we use a different verb than in English. If you want to ask "What do you do?", in Russian it would sound like this "Where do you work?".

Yes, it is interesting to know how these two verbs differ in other languages.
