These English tongue twisters will help students practice sound B and various vowel sounds:

  1. Betty Botter bought some butter.

    "But," she said, "the butter's bitter.

    If I put it in my batter,

    It will make my batter bitter.

    But a bit of better butter

    That would make my batter better."

    So she bought a bit of butter

    Better than her biter butter.

    And she put it in her batter.

    And the batter wasn't bitter.

    So 'twas better Betty Botter

    Bought a bit of better butter.


  2. Betty botter bought some butter.

    "But," she said, "this butter's bitter.

    If I bake this bitter butter,

    it would make my batter bitter.

    But a bit of better butter

    That would make my batter better."


  3. Big Ben blew big blue bubbles.
